HBN 009 - Human Marketing & Human Centricity with Bryan Kramer
Thursday Jun 08, 2017
Thursday Jun 08, 2017
In Episode 009 I got to jam with the "Zen of Marketing" as labeled by Forbes, Mr. Bryan Kramer. He is also a TEDtalk Keynote Speaker, Author of Shareology and Human to Human, as well as the CEO of a company called Pure Matter.
PODCAST EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS
These are some of the major takeaways that you should take note of from this episode:
Business has always been human-to-human. We do business with humans and companies seem to forget that quite often.
Companies need to focus on humanizing experiences.
What marketing was 10 years ago, today, and next 1-3 years will be completely different. However, at the epic center of it all are human experiences. AI, AR, VR will change those human experiences.
Human touch is essential to everything. Including business and marketing. Technology will not supplement the human touch but rather strengthen it.
Experiences such as Disney are things we remember as humans. Companies and brands need to focus on establishing such experiences with their customers.
Losing a client is a hard pill to swallow. Getting a new one is much harder than retaining an existing one. You lose an opportunity but to retain the client focus on engagement with them and create unique experiences.
Being human is quite fundamental. Everyone, including B2B and B2C should have access to the customer. Brands should be engaging with a customer more often and enforce a more 360 experience.
Customer service is in essence the new form or marketing.
Social media allows for a more human experience. Something that brands really need to pay stronger attention to and recognize of importance.
Attention and superior time for people should be more seamless rather than shutting them off. Think the Disney experience.
Delivering a better human experience can be one of the biggest marketing assets for companies.

HBN 008 - State of Digital Marketing, YouTube Live, All Video & Entrepreneurship
Thursday May 25, 2017
Thursday May 25, 2017
Episode 008 is a solo gig and one that I'm actually quite excited about. It's all about marketing, YouTube live, and entrepreneurship.
PODCAST EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS
These are some of the major takeaways that you should take note of from this episode:
Audit your brand on monthly basis to identify voids and untapped potential.
Use the right tools to help you stay ahead of competition. Be conservative though so you don't overspend.
Always define the meaning of a conversion for every type of digital campaign (i.e. SEO, PPC, Content, Social Media, etc.).
Engagement and Conversions are realistically 2 of the most important metrics you should pay attention to in any digital campaign.
YouTube Live now available for all users. Official rollout in May 2017. Checkout my first YouTube Live Session at http://www.youtube.com/ivantemelkov under the 'Live Sessions' playlist.
74% of all web traffic in 2017 is attributed to video. Video marketing should be a top marketing strategy for your business. (There is more video content uploading on the internet within a single month than what TV generated in 3 decades)
Be transparent with your customers and show added value upfront. Don't mislead them in a way that it misconstrues the entire proposition.
Entrepreneurship is a difficult path to walk but definitely not one that can be walked. Consider these 4 things - Business Plan, Venture Capital, Consistency, Spontaneity.

In Episode 007 of HBN I was honored to jam with none other than Elena Cardone. She brought forth the diversification I was hoping for in discussing powerful women in business, women entrepreneurs, building an empire, and of course human centricity.
ABOUT ELENA CARDONE
Elena Lyons was born in Madrid, Spain and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. After graduating High School she moved to Los Angeles at 17 and immediately started working as an Elite Model in numerous high fashion print editorials and national commercials.
PODCAST EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS
These are some of the major takeaways that you should take note of from this episode.
A 17 year old goes to Los Angeles to become an actress, supported herself, and made a very good living for herself.
Find the one you trust and focus on your passion and goals.
The G&E Show - about marriage and finding the work life balance, doing it all.
Humanizing your brand will yield major potential and advantages for you. The G&E Show accomplished that.
Find your passion and link up to that.
Have the desire to help people.
Always strive to influence others if you've made it.
Acknowledge the importance of monetization.
Comprehend the power and value behind being a problem solver.
Problems don't solve themselves unless you take action and initiative.
You won't get rid of the fears and insecurites unless you get wings.
Believe in yourself. Find the commitment.
Discipline - the ultimate way of pursuing your goals, dreams, and taking action towards them.
You must have a strong sense of optimism and avoid being a skeptic which will derail you from following your dreams, goals, and visions.

HBN 006 - Social Media, Social Selling, & Human Business
Tuesday Feb 21, 2017
Tuesday Feb 21, 2017
On Episode 006 of The Human Business Narrative I chatted with Koka Sexton from Hootsuite and formerly of LinkedIn. We discussed topics such as importance of social media, social selling for lead generation, and of course human business.
ABOUT KOKA SEXTON
Koka Sexton is a recognized social media marketing expert in the technology industry. He brings over 10+ years of business and sales experience with a strong passion for social media marketing. The social media evolution is a topic that he heavily promotes on a global level and through speaking engagements.
PODCAST EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS
These are some of the major takeaways that you should take note of from this episode.
A website is essential in 20th century.
If your brand does not have social media presence and activity than it's non-existent. Social media is a business-related function.
Companies are finally putting forth time, money, and training into social media.
Social media curriculum are forming based on market needs and necessities.
The rise of account based marketing and account based sales through social media.
An active salesforce on social media networks is helping companies build their pipeline and business results.
Employee advocacy and social media usage contributes to finding the right talent and better retention.
Companies should focus on humanizing their brand and using social media as a companion, resource, and tool to do so.
You can't succeed in any way, shape, or form without visibility and accomplishments. Social media plays an intricate role in development of visibility, awareness, and interest on social media platforms. Visibility creates opportunity.
Most people switch jobs every 2-3 years these days because of strategic purpose and skill development.
As a newcomer into social media, review your social media profiles and ensure that it's properly optimized and consistent with your brand. Determine what specifically you want to be known for in the marketplace.
Everything that you do online should be adding value to others in some extent. Focus on development of interest, awareness, and engagement with others.
Short form content such as blog posts, podcasts, etc. rather than long form which includes writing books may become quickly irrelevant.
Sales people need to be more heavily involved in the social media space and particularly using it strategically to prospect and engage for new business opportunities.
Experienced social media professionals should be finding opportunities such as The Human Business Narrative Podcast to share their experience, knowledge, and offer insight.
Always focus on providing value to others that would help them solve problems.
In appointment setting environments, first show value of extensive proportion before asking for a meeting.
